The University Farm is located about 3 km south-east of the JR Hojo Station and about 21 km north of the main campus of the College of Agriculture, Ehime University. The farm sits on the skirts of the Takanawa mountains. There are paddy and vegetable fields on the flat sites, and orchards on the slopes. Most of the soil is granitic and not so fertile. The average annual temperature is 14.5℃ and the annual precipitation about 1,200 mm. The farm is blessed with the mild climate of the Seto Inland Sea.
