The University Farm is located about 3 km south-east of JR Hojo Station and about 21 km north of the main campus of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University. The farm sits on the skirts of the Takanawa mountains. There are paddy and vegetable fields on the flat sites, and orchards on the slopes. Most of the soil is granitic and not so fertile. The average annual temperature is 14.5℃ and the annual precipitation about 1,200 mm. The farm is blessed with the mild climate of the Seto Inland Sea.
The mission of the University Farm is (1) to give students practical training about agriculture, (2) to develop new farming systems by using recent scientific information and conventional technological knowledges, and (3) to contribute to agriculture of local neighboring areas and worldwide developing countries.

This suject is allocated for students other than the Faculty of Agriculture.
Three day/two night-programs are given during the course at the end of
summer vocation. This year, the class is scheduled from September 19(Wed)
to 21(Fri). The capacity of students is 30.
